Group Projects (6 December 2010)

Group projects are the worst kind of project.  There is always a weakest link who will, without fail, produce more work for everyone else.

e.g.

Below is an article that needed to be cited for our project.

And this is how it was cited:

Zool, A. (1990). Marriage systems and pathogen stress in human societies. Oxford Journals , 30(2), 325-340. (Zool, 1990)

Fail.

The actual journal is the American Zoologist and the actual author (which should be easily discernible) is Bobbi S. Low.  That wasn’t the only citation issue I found, but it was definitely the worst.

And don’t get me started on the writing quality…

“When their is alot of presser to mate in farming and foraging population’s polygyny is often practiced.”

That is a direct quote…I kid you not.  How do people make it out of high school, let alone get into college, with that kind of writing?  There’s just no excuse.

If you think that sentence is bad, try reading the whole paragraph.  :headdesk:
