My favorite season and my favorite month are already here. The weather has cooled off enough to where I can now dress in tights and sweaters…finally. I was getting pretty tired of tank tops. Time to transition from Chucks to Docs, bake some apple crisp, and enjoy perfect jacket weather.
I have a number of projects that I really need to finish before it gets much colder. Most importantly is reupholstering and cleaning up my dining chairs. I really do not want to be working in the garage when it’s 20ºF out. As far as the upholstery, I’m thinking a trip to Pilsen’s Textile Discount Outlet is in order. They have everything. Vinyl or oilcloth would work well since it’s durable and easy to clean. The chairs are really great vintage Saarinen Tulip knockoffs so I think something slightly kitschy like vinyl might actually look alright and not too tacky.
Maybe after midterms are over I can find some time to devote to these things.
